Jim is a native of Fort Lauderdale who headed his own law firms as a trial lawyer for over 25 years until he began mediating with Mediation, Inc., the pioneer mediation firm in Florida, in the fall of 1989, continuing to mediate with that firm for over 20 years. During that time, the firm mediated well over 150,000 cases pending in state and federal courts.

In late 2013, Jim, along with 20 other experienced mediators, moved his mediation practice to a new address with Mediation Firm, Inc. During his mediation career, he has conducted more than 8,000 mediation conferences as a certified trial court mediator, as well as over a hundred arbitrations as a Florida Supreme Court certified arbitrator.
